The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms...Charis

Charis
Caressing one’s very being.

“That which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm loveliness.”

We translate it all into ‘loving-kindness,’ a sort of ‘self-benevolence,’ a simple compassion for one’s sprit that commemorates love in the purest form... a ‘Harmonic Resonance’ that emanates from deep within.

It may take many forms. Perhaps through a connecting memory or a less than mindful act of imagination. But at its core.... ‘unspoken encouragements,’ turning inward, a convergence, in order to see something nearer and dearer. We cherish the freedom to celebrate, that which was put within us.

The world of Fine Portraiture has always been about giving – given to others, but until now, never given to self. Much like a spa experience, your Charis Portrait is a self-fulfilling pleasure; a private souvenir artistically created and designed for self-meditation, to quietly honor one’s personal spirit.

The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms...Soliloquy

Soliloquy - The Journey Within
Conveying ones private thoughts and feelings.

A Soliloquy is a literal device often used to dramatically divulge one’s thoughts or emotions, intended to give the illusion of unspoken reflections.

Our Soliloquy speaks volumes through Touchstones – the stories of a life worth living. Commemorate with Touchstone Words and Portal Portraits - a series of miniature personal images joined with your most treasured of life’s treasures – from soul searching to soul remembered. Lovingly gathered, preserved and arranged to chronicle your most eloquent private story.

The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms... Legacy and Legends

Legacy ‘n Legend

Once upon a time, in a land not so very far away, lived.......a most special of persons. Someone near and dear, a Legend in your very own mind, with a simple Legacy of Life to share. No fuss, no muss..... stories of the little in-between-moments of life, stories of everything from trials to tribulations to exalted grand adventures.... stories that have earned the right to be preserved, and passed on and cherished.

Photographs to hold, feel, remember.

Words to hear, tug at a heartstring.

And motion, oh the motions of someone who has lived, truly lived.
For every time you need to smile, from deep within, and remember........
Legacy ‘n Legend.

The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms... Life Force Sketches

Life Force Sketches

Not all men are shallow.......... some, some special men, offer a quiet assurance, a sense of their private LifeForce, a Sketch of who they really are at their emotional core.
Hidden away from day-to-day, protected, and seldom shared, this LifeForce can be captured, can be honored, can be, must be, sketched and preserved.

Not flashy, we’re not saying they’re dull, a LifeForce Sketch is a simple reminder that in a world of hustle and bustle, of high drama and turmoil, of life’s insanities........
this man can pause, for a moment, to offer, to share, to have and to hold his LifeForce in a once-in-a-lifetime LifeForce portrait.

The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms... The 10th Muse

The Tenth Muse

In days of yore, Muses were venerated; goddesses who inspired creation in the arts.

Throughout poetic lore, a Muse shared her Grace, aroused passion, stirred souls.

Words have sprouted from the Muse..... amuse....museum, but always paying tribute to creativity through a joyful artistic process.

Ancient mythology offered nine Muses, seems one for every occasion.
Euterpe (music) carried a flute – today we would celebrate through metaphors, the mousike (music) in your soul. Calliope (poetry) bore a tablet – today we would celebrate your heart-light. Erato (lyrical) is often seen with a lyre and crown of roses – today we would celebrate your spirit.

In modern times, a most imposing of feminine compliment, the Tenth Muse, serves to bring a contemporary celebration of the joys of womanhood.

The Grace Project celebrates Grace in six forms... Flaming Dahlia

Flaming Dahlias

John Huston once said, “Hollywood has always been a cage... a cage to catch our dreams.” Then dreams it shall be......just once....to glow like a ‘star.’

The hair, the make-up, the glamorous attire, the heat of the spotlights...all meld together in an orchestrated crescendo to create a stunning portrait... ‘Hollywood Style.’

Dramatic mood is the order of the day, a classy painted-lady in bold black and white is oh so stylish. You deserve to be the bell of the ball...in a cage of dreams.

Be one of the chosen few, a true Flaming Dahlia – you will never feel so special.

Arthur Levi Rainville and Anne Clay's Bio

About our Instructors:
ARTHUR LEVI RAINVILLE, M.Photog., Cr., CPP, API

“Just as Robert Henri is to painters,
so is Arthur Rainville to photographers –
the Poet Lauréate of Photography.”
-Darrell Chitty, Louisiana.

ARTHUR LEVI RAINVILLE, M.Photog., Cr., CPP, API has worked out of his decorous studio in historic Whitinsville, Massachusetts for 40 years. He is widely known for his soft, muted, granular color work. Refinements of this life’s passion lead to his lyrical, quixotic Mansuesco style of today. Defying a definable formula, Mansuesco, much like Impressionism, is a plurality of looks. An innate quality of light coupled with a compositional choreography is akin to his signature style. In a one-man show at the French Cultural Center, his work was astutely referred to as “…a synthesis of observation and imagination blended with a palette of gauzy colors.” Returning photographic portraiture to a high art form is his muse.
Arthur has taught portraiture professionally on three continents, inspiring the budding or seasoned photographer for 25 years - he has launched many notable photographers of our time.
He is a prolific author with three published books on the Creative Spirit and numerous articles yearly in national magazines. Besides being a noted touring lecturer he has Fine Art work being shown throughout the United States, South America and Europe. Having been called… ‘one of photography’s premier creative minds’… he currently offers private consultations and enrichment workshops throughout the Americas and European destinations.

His time is devoted and divided between personal portrait commissions, private consultancy and education and his on-going experiential art studies.

As an educator, she designed and led creativity programs for college students in the US and Canada that focused on innovative performance art.

Anne currently operates a thriving portrait studio in Apex, North Carolina specializing in women’s portraits. She is widely known for her ‘Over The Moon’ Hollywood style imagery, peppered with a cutting-edge contemporary look.

With her fine art background, Anne has joined Arthur in developing and presenting ‘the Grace Project’ and other enrichment programs for artists and photographers nationwide.
